AMURT and AMURTEL provide immediate aid to those affected by natural
calamities. In 2006 we responded to tsunamis, hurricanes, fires,
mudslides and floods. Our volunteers seek out those who are in the
greatest need and provide them with assistance in as compassionate a way
as possible. We provide emergency medical care, distribute food and
water, manage shelters, help families with clean-up and repair and
rebuild homes, schools and clinics. Your gift will be used to help us
provide immediate aid in both national and international disasters.

After Hurricane Katrina our volunteers made children
feel at home
in the Houston Convention Center.

AMURT and AMURTEL volunteers provided basic supplies to thousands of
Acehnese people displaced by the tsunami.
In, Aceh, Indonesia, AMURT rebuilt forty-two brick
factories, forty-seven houses, four kindergartens and an orphanage that were destroyed by the Tsunami. |
